I have an old Samsung tv that requires a three prong power cord. Is there an adaptor to connect to a 2 prong?

Q. I have a new Samsung tv and have the old power cord running behind my wall. It would be nice to not have to re-thread a new power cord.

A. You arent clear about the cord but no matter, use a new cord the new TV has a shielded 3 prong cable for a reason.Run The new cord.If your talking about the TV side then its not even an option to use a 2 prong anyway.Sounds like samsung girl is absolutely right and other 2 answers are wrong thinking you mean the wall plug side not the TV side..

How to hook up my Samsung TV to a surround sound receiver?
Q. I am trying to get my Samsung tv to connest to my surround sound receiver. This tv only has RGB and RW INS and no outs so how do i get the receiver to pick up the sound???? The HDMI are ins also and not outs.

A. HDMI can carry sound. IF the receiver is a fairly recent one that has HDMI in and out, you are in luck. The purpose of the receiver having HDMI is to extract the audio for decoding and to select between hdmi inputs. You can tell a receiver of this type by whether or not it can decode the two BluRay codexes, DTS-HD and Dolby TrueHD. In this case, you connect all devices to the receiver and it does the selection.

If the receiver isn't this type, then it depends on the devices. Many receivers can receive multiple inputs. Set your receiver up to a different input and it will play the audio.

How do I make my Samsung TV to be full screen?

A. most TV's I know use the # key on the remote to cycle between viewing modes. Try that on your Sammy.
